How to deal with the Storm

When you leave this world, you do so alone. There is nothing of your current circumstance, no matter how painful it is, that you will take with you unless it makes you a better and stronger "you".  Therefore, your life experiences must be about how you use your mental, emotional, and spiritual power to become more of your spiritual self.  You, and you alone, must learn to reprioritize, redevelop, and renew so that you continue on the course to new spiritual heights.

Have Patience
All of life is designed to teach us more about who we can become through love. God is looking down upon you at every second of your dilemma. While you're waiting, saying it's your move Father, He's saying "I've already moved. Now you make up your mind to search the scriptures, and learn how to effectively use what I've already given you, then you won't be in this position again and you can help someone who is." This is where patience comes in. We must be willing to ask ourselves some critical questions, and then we must be gentle and patient with ourselves as we learn the lessons we were destined to learn.  We must see time as a friend, not an enemy.  We must allow God to help us answer the critical questions of our souls in a way that heals the wound, and prevents the situation from reoccurring. 

Re-prioritize Your Spiritual Growth
At the forefront of all spiritual lessons is the reality that God values our growth more than our comfort.  Anything that does not grow will die.  God’s business is LIFE…life to the fullest!  You were meant to live and not die.  God created the world and everything in it.  He intended us to have wonderful experiences while we’re here, and then leave this earth better off than it was before we came.  That is what life is all about, but you cannot live to the fullest if you are walking around in a slumber; and you cannot get to where you are destined to be if you refuse to grow.  You may have missed the very keys that unlock the blessing you desire because you’re not watchful, not engaged in your own spiritual growth.
 

Redevelop through Wisdom and Understanding
You are appointed for wonderful things, and God has planted cues and clues all over the place to help lead you to them, but if pain and hurt have consumed your being, your spiritual senses may not be sharpened to the point of recognizing those cues and clues, and even if you recognized them, without a higher level of spiritual wisdom, you probably would not understand them. 

You have a responsibility to sustain your spirit with wisdom, and to make room in your understanding for more biblical knowledge.  This is engaging the process of growth. It is the only way to find the treasures of healing and wholeness we all need so desperately.  You may be clinging to the assumption that you can get by with only knowing what you know now. You simply can’t.  Some piece of information that is extremely pivotal to your spiritual puzzle is out of the box. You are forgetting a piece of God’s armor, and this piece is connected to your blessing, elevation, and next level promotion.
 

Ephesians 1:18 KJV
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
 

Ephesians 1:18 is a verse that we hear all the time, but few actually realize the enormity of its implications.  The “hope of his calling” is no joke. There’s nothing that compares to the call of God.  To hope is to expect something with confidence.  If God had not given us such extraordinary spiritual gifts such as the scriptures, the sacrifice and example of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling Holy Spirit, He may not have had a reason to have such tremendous confidence in us, but He does.   He has every reason to expect that we will use our lives to soar to immeasurable heights, because He has given everything with which to do it.  He didn’t want us to sit back and spend our whole lives only to dream about His throne.  His plan is that we follow the life of Jesus Christ and live a life of love.

He has given us His “trade secrets” through His most holy Word, all so that we can share in His majesty, love, peace, and glory. It is an all-encompassing requirement that we are fully equipped to fulfill; nothing is left out and no detail is undone.  God intended you for glory!  You may take an inventory of your existence and surmise that you certainly don’t feel as complete and whole as He has purposed you to be.  That’s because you haven’t yet fulfilled the hope, and you can’t fulfill it if you don’t understand it.

The bible tells us that we are God’s masterpiece.  He is not in the business of making us feel crappy.  He wants us to discover how truly spectacular we are, and sometimes those lessons are executed through hurt and pain, but make no mistake about it; the lesson to be learned is about triumph, self-awareness, and love.  Ephesians 1:18 says that when our eyes are opened to the knowledge and magnificence of who we are, we will know the hope of our calling.  You cannot have hope in God’s brand of extraordinary if you are consumed with pain.  Let some light in.  Shift your focus, even if it’s ever so slightly, and elevate your sights to God’s love and liberty, because that is where your healing and wholeness will begin. 

His call has everything to do with our happiness and fulfillment.  We have a glorious inheritance, packed to capacity with unimaginable treasures.   We were not called just so that we could be the devil’s punching bag, but to glory in our triumphs and successes.  You have to believe in the innermost part of your heart that God marked you out to be a winner right from the beginning.  You were predestined to be His hope.  There is no one smarter than God.   He did not make a mistake when He called you, and no one else can take your place.  It is you that He desires, your gifts, your talents, your special-ness.  NO one can do WHAT you can do the WAY you do it.  Resolve in your mind and spirit that from this moment on, you will never allow yourself to go back to that place called the land of “thinking less”. And know that right now, this very second, you have all you need to fit the bill, and to voraciously capture your destiny.
