Dear Heavenly Father,
These are rough times for a lot of people that do not know Your goodness. They don’t know that You are a loving and wonderful Father, and that You will take care of them. Even those that have accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as their personal Lord and Savior are worried about what is happening, so much so that they are beginning to walk by sight and not by faith. You don’t want this to happen. You told us in Hebrew 11:6 that it is impossible to please You without faith, and this means that no matter how things look in the natural, we must continue to stand on the solid foundation of Your Word, because Your Word never fails.
Faith isn’t about our own abilities and effort. It is about trusting Your power, love, and grace; it’s confidence in knowing that You are willing and able to lavish it all on those who love and trust You. Through the Apostle Paul, You tell us in Philippians 4:19(NLT), “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
You have glorious riches in abundant supply. Our problem is that we want Your goodies, but many of us have tried to access them in ways that are not aligned with Your promise in Philippians 4:19. Jesus Christ is the channel by which we can access Your glorious riches. He tells us in John 14:6 that he is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to You except through him. He is the one to open the door for us, and we must remain in him to stay close to You.
You tell us in 2Corinthians 5:7 to walk by faith and not by sight. We are not to be shaken or rocked by what is happening in the world. You have told us in the scriptures that these things would happen and that we should not be afraid, but we must be anchored in Christ and in the wisdom of Your Word. We must continue walking by his example, and continue praying and nurturing our relationship with You, because this is how we build our endurance and faith.
Please help us to remember that nothing can separate us from Your love. Help us to keep our minds and hearts focused on You and not on the chaos and confusion of the world. You are our sweet anchor. We must never withhold praise and thanksgiving from You, because You are so worthy and deserve all the honor, glory, and praise that we can give You. Now is a time to repent for our wrongdoing, and come before You with gladness because You are such a forgiving God. We should be rejoicing continually in Your majesty and awesomeness.
Please forgive us for our sins, Father, and help those who do not know You. Please send a believer across their paths to tell them the Good News of Jesus Christ, that through him, You will save their souls. Thank You for our precious and powerful Lord and Savior. Thank You for the extraordinary gift of Holy Spirit and thank You for all Your many blessings. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
