Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for making us complete in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through him, everything that we need You have supplied. Ephesians 1:3(NLT) says, “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” You are our sufficiency. You are everything we need to be whole and complete, but many people do not believe this, Dear Father. They look for other people, relationships, and things to make them whole. Please help them to open their eyes to Your truth.
Most of us think we know ourselves so well. We think our feelings, thoughts, and attitudes are the definitive statement of our identity, but You are our Creator. Only You can define who we are, because You have predestined our existences according to Your Will, Plan, and Purpose. Our identity is in Christ. Romans 8:28-29(NLT) says, “28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Long before we entered our mothers’ wombs, You chose us to be Your very own. You handpicked us out from among the world. Your goal for each of Your children is that with every choice we make, we become more and more like our Big Brother, Jesus Christ.
You fashioned us in Your image. We’ve been shaped and molded to be Your masterpieces. Ephesians 2:10(NLT) tells us, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” There is nothing that can be added to our beings that will make us more than what You have made us in Christ. He is our example to follow, and Your Word is all the directions and instructions we need. Your precious Holy Spirit guides us. He teaches us as we seek his counsel on everything in our lives. You’ve made sure that we can live masterfully, and You’ve supplied all the tools and building material we need to expertly build a life of victory, power, and love.
As each day passes, through the Lord Jesus Christ and Your Holy Spirit, I’m learning who I am. The person I was 3 years ago can’t touch the person I am today, and it is all because of the knowledge of Your Word that I have gained in my life. I thought I knew myself, but I realize now that I was a stranger to the vision You hold for me. You don’t hide from us, quite the contrary. When we seek You diligently, we will always find You. Lord, please help us to continue to seek You with our whole hearts, to study Your Word and pray often so that we can hear Your voice clearly and learn who You desire us to be.
Thank You for giving us a way to become stronger and stronger spiritually every day, so that we can grow closer to You. That’s really what life is all about. It’s about growing in Christ so that our relationship with You blossoms in the way You desire.
Thank You for giving us the gift of Holy Spirit. John 16:13(NLT) says, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.” Father, we don’t know what the future holds, but we do know that You hold our futures. You know the situations and circumstances that we will face, and You tell us to walk, hand and hand, with Your Spirit. He’s such a tender and loving friend, and he causes us to live successful Christian lives before You. He will keep our feet from falling and help us to be anchored in Your goodness. Thank You for loving your people so much that You blessed us with a powerful comforter, friend, and guide through Your precious Holy Spirit. He will never betray us, and he will help us to learn who we are in Christ.
We praise You Heavenly Father! There is none like You, for You are the Most High God, Holy beyond Holy. Magnificent beyond magnificence. Your power and love is unmatched, and we are so thankful. Thank You for blessing us so bountifully. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
