God Never Says “No”

There’s an old saying that God answers our prayers in three ways: “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait.” While this sounds reasonable, it doesn’t fully align with the promises found in His Word. Psalm 84:11 (NLT) tells us, “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” The enemy wants us to believe that God is up in heaven, selectively deciding who to bless and when, but that’s a lie. God does not withhold blessings from His children. He longs for us to experience a life overflowing with blessings, and He desires this infinitely more than we desire it for ourselves.

Jesus Christ taught in Matthew 7:11(NLT), “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him?” We are imperfect people; all of us are. A good parent wants to do their very best for their kids all the time, but at the end of the day, all of us are going to make mistakes. In contrast, God is perfect—never faltering or making mistakes. His goodness is unwavering, and His wisdom is boundless. There’s never a moment when He isn’t full of glory and power. God is truly remarkable in every aspect. We should place our trust in Him wholeheartedly, knowing that the gifts He has for us far exceed anything we can imagine. Embracing this truth can deeply transform our hearts and lives.

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NLT) tells us, “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” Our Heavenly Father values order and structure, and He creates with purpose and intention, never doing anything haphazardly. Some say that order is the first law of heaven, because this reflects the way our Heavenly Father operates. If we want to align with His Will, prioritize order and structure in our lives. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it; when it comes to blessings and abundance, we should already know that order is supreme.

The order of faith

Many claim to have faith, but Romans 10:17 (NKJV) reminds us that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” That’s the true order of faith. Without the Word, our faith won’t be fueled in the way it should be. It’s crucial to understand that God’s Word is His Will, and His Will is revealed through His Word.

When we seek to know God’s Will, we’re not just looking for guidance; we’re diving deeper into His promises. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” This pursuit isn’t casual; it requires a heartfelt commitment to understanding His desires for our lives. Jesus Christ emphasizes the importance of prioritizing God’s Will in Matthew 6:33 (NKJV): “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” When it comes to discerning God’s Will and what He requires of us, we can’t rely on self-help gurus, our friends, or roles models. We must seek God Himself, honoring His righteousness and trusting His guidance.

Pray God’s Will

God never says “no” when we pray in alignment with His Will. As 1 John 5:14 (NKJV) reminds us, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” Often, we perceive a “no” from God when, in reality, it’s about our misunderstanding. The challenge lies in aligning our faith with His Will and truly seeking Him to understand His plans for our lives. When we commit to this pursuit, we open ourselves to the profound ways He answers our prayers, often in ways we hadn’t even considered.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. This reminds us that God truly knows what’s best for us. Before we lay out our desires, it’s important to humble ourselves and recognize His infinite wisdom. As Proverbs 19:21 (NLT) says, “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” That’s why it’s crucial to seek His Will, follow His guidance, and align our hopes with His purpose. When we let go of our own plans and trust in Him, we not only find clarity but also experience a peace and comfort that comes from knowing we’re following His perfect path for our lives. ■
