God Knows It All

Our Heavenly Father is omnipresence, omniscient, and omnipotent. There isn’t anything  He can’t do, and He knows everything there is to know. Proverbs 15:11 (NLT) tells us, Even Death and Destruction hold no secrets from the Lord. How much more does he know the human heart!” This verse hits home the incredible depth of God’s understanding. He knows our thoughts, our struggles, and the hidden desires of our hearts. There’s a wonderful comfort in realizing that we are fully seen and understood by Him.

In our daily lives, it’s easy to feel isolated or misunderstood by others, but we can take heart knowing that God sees us completely. His omniscience means that He is aware of every detail, even those we may try to hide from ourselves and others. This awareness invites us to bring our true selves to Him, unguarded and authentic.

Every time we earnestly come into God’s presence with humility and honor, we are never the same. When we bring our unguarded and authentic selves before Him, a powerful transformation begins. For those of us who are single and desiring to be married, this process takes on a deeper significance. First and foremost, we open the door to a more profound relationship with God. By being honest about our hopes, fears, and past experiences, we create space for Him to reveal the depths of His love and grace.

This acceptance reminds us that we’re valued just as we are, without any masks. Psalm 139:14 (NLT) says it perfectly: “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.” When we recognize how special we are in God’s eyes, we gain the courage to be transparent with Him. He is aware of our past mistakes, as well as the heartaches and disappointments we’ve faced. Our loving Heavenly Father invites us to bring it all before His throne, allowing Him to work in our hearts as we move toward what we really desire.

In this space of being real, healing can actually happen. Many of us carry emotional baggage or past hurts that can hinder our ability to connect with potential partners. When we lay these struggles out before God, we’re letting Him into our wounds, opening the door for some serious restoration. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) encourages us to “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Our Heavenly Father helps us confront and release the pain that may be holding us back.

God’s guidance is a key part of any goal we’re trying to reach. When we open up our hearts and share our thoughts and feelings, we invite His wisdom into our lives. But here’s the thing: we also have a crucial role to play. As singles, many of us might not be making reading and studying God’s Word a priority. We’re missing out on partnering with Him in teaching and preparing us for what we really want.

There’s so much insight in Scripture about what we should desire in a partner and the qualities God considers essential for a healthy relationship. Proverbs 3:6 (NLT) tells us, “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” It’s our responsibility to do this by immersing ourselves in Scripture and aligning ourselves with it. By making His Word a priority, we open ourselves up to the revelations and guidance that can lead us to the love and relationship we’re hoping for.

God knows it all, and He loves us too much to leave us unchanged. When we lay bare before Him, He begins to help us become the individuals He created us to be. This transformation may involve addressing insecurities or releasing fears that keep us from embracing the love we seek. Romans 12:2 (NLT) encourages us, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” Through this process, we become more spiritually prepared to not only receive love but also to give it according to the example of Jesus Christ.

As we reflect on our hearts and release what holds us back, we create fertile ground for the blessings we desire most, including a loving and fulfilling marriage. Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) assures us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” We never need to second guess our powerful, all-knowing God. Trusting in His timing and His guidance, and knowing He’s the One with the plan, allows us to move forward with confidence that we’ll meet the man that’s right for us. God is shaping us for the amazing blessings ahead, and if we stay committed to Him and keep the faith, those blessings will surpass our greatest expectations. ■
