Dear Heavenly Father,
During my time in nursing school, there have been many people that have said nothing but negative things about the classes. Whether it’s my classmates or even some of my instructors, they all make passing the class seem impossible. They say things like, “The class is too hard, and you’re going to find yourself overwhelmed!” At first, it did discourage me and make me doubt myself. I had to sit back, take a moment, and reflect upon who You’ve made me in Christ. I’m a child of the King!
Heavenly Father, You told us in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Jesus Christ, who gives us strength. You’ve given us Your every assurance that You will never leave or forsake us. 1John 4:4(NLT) says, “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” I was wrong for doubting myself for one second. Because of Your seed dwelling on the inside of me, I can anchor my hope for succeeding in school in You!
And because my hope is anchored in You, Heavenly Father, when people tell me that doom or negativity is going to happen, I will not let their words enter my heart. There are many tests in life that Your people will go through, because the devil will test our faith, just as he did Jesus Christ. 1Peter 1:6-7 encourages us to be courageous and to patiently endure; because the tests and trials are going to come. Our perseverance shows that our faith in You is genuine, and if we stay the course and remain steadfast, our faith will be purified like gold.
We must have a sold-out trust in Your love and Word. You direct us in Psalm 118:8(NLT) that “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people.” We should never look to people to give us what only You can provide. Our trust in You makes our souls steady. So, no matter what happens around me, no matter what people may say, I am not moved. I will pass the class and have victory over the test, Heavenly Father, because just as Psalms 62:2 (NLT) says, You are my Rock and my Salvation! “my fortress where I will never be shaken.”
Thank You, Holy and Glorious Heavenly Father for helping us to be a blessing to Your Kingdom. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
