No Excuses

Dear Heavenly Father,

Through the Apostle Paul, in Hebrews 4:1(NLT), You tell us, “God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.” Prior to this pandemic, the world was moving so fast that it didn’t know how to catch up with itself. The evil attitudes and deeds have gotten completely out of hand, and confusion is commonplace. I’m grateful for this time of rest that You’ve allowed Your people. It’s unfortunate that it took a curse over the land for many individuals to sit down and recognize they are not in control; You are! All over the world, some people that have never prayed are praying now. It is a good time to pray, and to get to know You better, without so many distractions. No one has any excuse; they can’t say they didn’t have an opportunity to spend time with You.

This should be a time where families come together to learn more about the good news of Jesus Christ and his unfailing love. We need Your peace and mercy more than ever right now, and You are willing to give it to all who ask. There are still some that are blaming You for the chaos and peril in the world, but You did not cause this pandemic or any of the trouble we see. In Revelation 3:20(NLT), Your Son said, “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Jesus Christ is revealing Your heart towards us. You are not punishing people. You love everyone, saved or unsaved. 1Timothy 2:2-4(NLT) tells us, “2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Your desire is that every living person receives salvation through Christ and that they will understand the truth of Your Word. Lord, please help us during this time to bear witness to others of Your love and truth. Open our eyes to the opportunities to be a comfort to those that are nervous and shaken by what is happening. Help us, please, to be strong as we stand on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Rock of Our Salvation. Thank You for the privilege and honor to call You, Abba Father. Thank You for saving our souls, and for covering us and our loved ones under Your protection and care. Thank You for meeting the needs of those that are without steady shelter and food. Thank You for taking care of those that are mentally and emotionally challenged, for providing rescue and protection for those that have been in abusive situations. Please send Your ministering angels to continue to help them.

Thank You that because of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our names are written in the Book of Life. Please continue to watch over us all as we trust You with our whole hearts and lean totally on Your strength, love, grace, and power. Please remind us to walk in wisdom and make no decisions without asking You first.

Thank You, Dear Father, for blessing our going in and coming out. Thank You for our Blessed Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, and thank You for the Holy Spirit. Let Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
